NSF is looking to fill a position as a program director in the Information
and Intelligent Systems Division of the Computer and Information Science and
Engineering Directorate. The specific area of expertise is in human language
and communications.

The position may be filled either on a permanent basis
(http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2005/e20050107/e20050107.txt) or a temporary basis
(http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2005/e20050108/e20050108.txt). For those at
universities and some research labs, the appointment may be made under the
Intergovernmental Personnel Act, in which NSF makes a grant to the home
institution that pays for the 12 month salary and benefits of the program
director, provides a housing allowance and compensates for lost consulting
income.

Please feel free to contact me with questions or forward this to others that
may be interested.

Please note that the deadline for applications is August 15, 2005.

NSF IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER COMMITTED TO EMPLOYING A HIGHLY
QUALIFIED STAFF THAT REFLECTS THE DIVERSITY OF OUR NATION
