silly dreams about new buildings

Last year, I gave a talk in the new Stata building at MIT (home for
Computer Science, Linguistics, and some other units). The building is
quite ugly (even by Frank Gehry standards :) on the outside but the
inside is great - it has very spacious hallways and offices with a lot
of daylight. It also features (now listen to this!) an indoors
swimming pool, a cafeteria, a daycare center, a gym, coffee shops,
etc. I was very very impressed.

Now why am I sending this to you... I understand that the budget for
the new building is quite problematic and there probably won't be
enough space for SI to start with, but then again, why not steal some
ideas (e.g., the gym!) from the Stata bldg?
